Netflix doesn't work due to somekind of copyrights.

Try using an Anycast M4, M9 or M100 via HDMI for mirrorlink, u will be able to do it wirelessly and probably the landscape mode (16:9) will work with iPhone that way. But there's an issue, YouTube in iPhones when wirelessly it blocks by default, u can try with YouTube vanced for iPhone and see if it works (I use Android)

U won't have that issue when using an android phone.

Netflix doesn't work wirelessly on both.

Is the only difference between the first version and the newer version the fact that the newer ones can rotate? Someone is trying to sell me a 'first gen' one new in box for $500 and I am very tempted. Also, what is the general audio quality of the unit? I'm looking for something that sounds damn good. Can't use optical though sadly.

@NVSAUDIO Have you installed this in a Nissan vehicle with the 360 surround view camera? Is that function able to be retained with the Stinger?

The resolution of the screens are pretty night and day. The alpine halo screen looks visibly worse because it’s stretching a lower resolution that the elev8. Not to mention that resistive touch screen as opposed to a capacitive touch that has a more vivid display.

For the Netflix (and how it wasn't working), you might try going to it's setting and using a lower resolution. Netflix can run at 4K, and I bet (since you have a shop) that u have 4K resolution set. Your phone might even work at a pretty high resolution too. So if it's not a parking brake type of issue, try lowering your resolution setting for Netflix (maybe via the actual website). Put it down really low and see if it takes (starts working), and then start increasing to find the setting that'll work. That's just an idea off the top of my head, so my apologies if it's already been tried, or it's absurd etc. It's just an idea to ponder.

Yeah the more I think about it... You've got an apple tablet there... I wouldn't be at all surprised if Netflix is rolling at the highest resolution that the tablet is capable of supporting.. and even though the head unit has super high resolution, the Netflix doesn't know that the "end user" is the car stereos face plate. So maybe if Netflix is set to a "bandwidth saving" type of resolution, it might start working.

It'd be interesting to see.
