Quanta is a little more than just something that makes your enchants more powerful. It's at its heart, super random. It increases the chance you'll roll a higher level than expected for your setup on your enchantment (Sharpness 3 becoming Sharpness 5 instead), while equally raising the chance to roll a *lower* level on your enchantment (Sharpness 3 becoming Sharpness 1). Not sure, but I think it can even push your enchants past the limits of your bookshelves, getting a level thats not supposed to be found on something like wooden bookshelves. Rectification basically makes you roll lows less and highs more, capping out at no chance to reduce your enchants and a high chance to increase them. When you look at it like this, you see why the Bee Shelf and Melon Shelf are important. If you can't get Rectification, and you don't want your enchants to be lowered, you can use these to guarantee an enchant for the level your setup is while sacrificing the chance to get a higher level as well.

Melonshelves are incredibly useful for making the Library of Alexandria.

Years latter, in FTB Skies, the melon shelf is critical to a few setups. As you can't get heart of the sea before antimatter.

5 shelf of end fused rectification
6 shelf of masterful sight
2 draconic end shelf
17 pearlescent endshelf

crescendo of bolts 6 plus quickdraw 5 makes for a very fun repeating crossbow (quickdraw 5 makes it immediately fully drawn from just a right-click, so you can easily spam it)

the splitting and obliteration enchants might be different in the current version as i havent been able to split or obliterate any books
