It's called the 'flex' because you'll be flexing on everyone with how much you spent on this rig.

Looks sick! Not sure who it's aimed at really given all the options out there, but it's good to see DJI innovating

I think it's really interesting how skeptical people are about it, and that there is no use case for it as I read through the comments.

Maybe i am a simpleton as one person put it, but stabilization in a rapidly changing run and gun environment, like i find myself in, almost every shoot, something like this "seems" like a dream.

Heavy equipment, everything and everyone is moving, chaos, fast paced, and I'm literally running around capturing the moment. I walk into a lot of situations where I don't know what to expect, and even when they are "staged" i have very little time and limited crew to get the shot. Which leads to some shaky footages sometimes.

But having active track, and the crazy gimbal allowing me to move dynamically seems like such a win when producing videos for my clients.

I mean, I don't shoot moves for Netflix, I shoot for corporate clients who do large dynamic projects, so I'm not sure not using a cinema lens is a deal breaker. Maybe I just don't have the conneseurs eye.

But I think this kinda goes back to, most people think iPhone footage looks amazing. So maybe the question is, do we use certain equipment and create certain looks that are just meant to impress other filmmakers, not really aimed at what matters to clients and the general public, which are much more swept up in emotion and story.

I would love to have this camera in my arsenal.

Then again, i also hate fighting gimbals, and end up shooting handheld a lot. (maybe ore than i should) lol

My Ronin 4D has been a game changer for me - I am by no means a pro! But I have learnt so much using this camera. It really is an awesome bit of kit. 😀

On the side of the camera you can physically switch the gimbal off. Then you can lock in each axis and use it as a standard (non-stable) camera. This is rather than overloading the gimbal motors and waiting for it to detect you still have each axis locked.

Mostly because $6800 for the average person is a pretty high bar for entry and it’s the only camera in the ecosystem. If DJI makes a sub-$3000 model and keeps expanding, I’m sure you’d see people moving in that direction.

This is already a thing few months ago in China as a prototype, didn't expect it come LIVE so soon! Pretty excited coz it's finally available "inexclusively"!

It good, but for me the smaller and lighter the whole package the better. FX3 and 24mm GM is all I need 😅 Great video man

We use it on a series, im the asistent for it, we really love it, very fast when transitioning from the alexa minis to a steady gimbal car mount etc shot.

8:01 I have the OG DJI Osmo with the Z axis. I used it for vlogging back in college. It's basically this but without the image quality and in a much smaller package. Imagine a gopro image quality but with the z axis stabilization. Super gimmicky set up but it'll make a cool shelf display piece one day and start a lot of conversations. It looks like a pistol almost and at night I felt uncomfortable using it in poorly lit areas due to its form factor.

It is a very interesting system especially the 4 axis stabe however I don't see the point of getting this camera apart and filming with that ghostbusters backpack on.. when you can just throw the FX3 on Ronin and the picture quality is barely distinguishable.. especially after youtube compresses it to bits..

WOW! ok ok... put the body into a backpack to film Ghostbusters style! hahaha but seriously this is a game changer in my books. So many tight places you can now easily move around. RAD!
