This is a great method for all design/creative projects, not just sound design.

Thanks for the tips.

For what it's worth, server rooms are loud AF. A realistic sound would be the HVAC fans blasting away, a low pitched white noise like sticking your head in front of a box fan. We had to talk loudly to be heard.

This is the best sound design/Ableton ad channel out there. Hands down.

I'm so glad Mark Brown made me discover you. I love sound-design and foley, but there's surprisingly little content dedicated to this. Great stuff!

The technique of bouncing it out to stop yourself from tweaking is great, I accidentally did it with a music track when I somehow misplaced the project file and honestly, I feel like having no choice but to roll with it was for the better (Also I know this is a 5 year old video, but I've only just found this channel and it's a great resource for budding sound designers!)

You're back! Coincidentally, I was just thinking yesterday how I missed "that McGee guy" with his awesome sound design videos. I was afraid you had stopped, yet here you are :)

The consolidate tip is one I will try to use in the future. I always end up tinkering and making the sound worse, but at the same time not changing it drastically due to the lack of a backup.

Hey Marshall, I just wanted you to know that I've been absolutely loving your content. I've binged most of your channel lately and as someone who's a baby in this industry, I really appreciate seeing a video series that's so engaging to watch. Thank you so much! I don't know if it'd be possible but I'd love to see a video on the sound design of creatures like the Demogorgon from Sranger Things or the creatures from A Quiet Place.

So I just discovered your channel and I am absolutely fascinated! I am so glad to find a youtuber who specializes in this field. Could you do a video on how monster/kaiju roars are created?

Wow, I was just thinking of organizing sounds this way with the new collections yesterday. Great idea!

I really love your video, and regret why I had't watched your video before I finished the lesson which needed a lot of robot sounds, by the way, I am a totally a beginner of sound design.
