Fun Fact: This fight can become a no-lose scenario for the player. As soon as you land on the platform use a battery to get infinite ammo for ceph weapons and invulnerability. Use the Grenade launcher ceph weapon (try and come to the boss fight with one). The invulnerability and ammo should last enough to get you trhough each phase of the fight.

Even on the hardest dificulty, this fight is piss.

You just have to shoot the Alpha Ceph with enough hit damage to get him to expose the orange light pads behind the claws. . . and shoot the orange pads, but if you don't shoot them when they're exposed you have to wait until he exposes them again. One for each claw. A checkpoint after shooting two exposed claws. Then one more time. It matters how powerful of a weapon you use on him as to how soon he exposes each orange area behind each claw.
