I met Pete when he was Mayor of South Bend, Indiana about 9 years ago. I’m Canadian and was a local politician in my town. We were going to SB for my son’s baseball tournament. I contacted his office and asked if I could meet with him while in town. His office responded and my son and I met with him. I had read about him and admire the fact that he is also a fan of JFK and that he received a Kennedy Centre award. We had a nice visit with him, and he did not make us feel like we were inconveniencing him at all. He was genuinely Interested in us as well. We did not feel rushed. At the end of the visit, he even presented my son with a “key to the city” and a South Bend T-shirt. This man is intelligent, articulate and an overall decent human being. I would love to see him on the Democratic ticket. He is the real deal!

Pete's political career is astounding.
He also graduated from Harvard and Oxford. He's a Rhodes Scholar. He has a degree in philosophy, economics and politics. He speaks multiple languages. (7-8?) I truly hope he becomes our next VP.
