I think they are modified C-Mount lenses. See the Kowa 8mm and 6mm, they are very similar though these are faster at 1.8

Hey thanks for the video, very informative. I have one en route from Adorama right now - I picked up a couple of extra attachments for it too. Namely a 52mm UV filter and a 52mm wide angle lens hood. You think this will be sufficient for helping protect the front element and helping with flaring etc? I wasnt sure about the lens hood or not with the focus making the front half spin but figured a "wide angle" 52mm hood shouldn't cause a lot of issues with vignetting but between it and multi coded filter it should help a lot with the lenses weaknesses. I have been shopping around for a good budget Ultra wide-angle lens, something sharper than my 14mm or 14-42mm lens with a x.45 wide angle adapter(although part of the reason I got the 14-42mm was for its compatibility with the Panasonic wide angle adapter, which I still think I should try - the dual IBIS is a killer feature) which I think this more than does and for the most part this will be used in an environment with good artificial light so stopping down shouldn't be a problem. Any suggestions or thoughts? I imagine this is going to be my primary/go to lens for vlogging, reviews and build guides.

Nice review and comparison to your other lens'. I'm thinking of selling my Rokinon 8mm mft lens to get this one. Less weight to carry around with me and the specs aren't much different.

Can you maybe do a vlog with this lens ? Just to get a perspective on how it would look for vlogging and up close with it I’m trying to get the lens for vlogging and music video shoots I have the Panasonic 15mm and some more lenses but I want something wider and there is not much on YouTube but there should be ! As this is such a cheap and wide lens... I might have to pic one up just to make some videos available!
