In this video, I break down the best questions to ask everyone you will talk to in your interview and I touch on all the important topics. From leadership style, people development, culture, and expectations, with this video, you will have all your bases covered!

While you should watch the video because I talk about "the why" behind each question and what information you should be looking for, I also wanted to include the questions below so you can commit them to memory! Check out the questions from the video below!

I have almost never asked questions in a job interview. Never realized it was important.

Now, not only do i know it's important, but i also know what to say.

THANK YOU!!!

The behavioral question for the boss blew my mind.

This is gold. I wanna ask them all, but usually the initial interview is like 30-40 minutes with only the last 10 minutes given to the candidate to ask questions. I guess I'll have to prioritize some over others and save the others for a 2nd interview, or just pick the most important ones. Dammit, I wanna counter interview them!

This video is more than two years old, but it is absolute GOLD. So many great questions I'll be asking at my interview tomorrow. And some I thought of myself, but that were inspired by some of the questions in the video. Awesome work, Ben!

20:34 Ooh! I like that question! I am going to start asking that question at my upcoming interviews: “Do you feel that opportunities for growth snd advancement are allocated fairly?” That way I can test whether it is likely to be a hostile work environment - which I am in now and currently trying to get out of… The micro-management - and the stunting of my professional development… Also, the let’s look at your calendar and take your meetings and training opportunities off it - because you are complaining about your workload - your work comes first, do if you can’t meet your deadlines - you can’t log onto the trainings (for which I would just put them on in the background and listen, btw).

Your video is giving me great signs of the company I am interviewing with because they have already answered a number of these with no prompting from me which is honestly refreshing.

3:55 - "How urgent are you looking to fill this role?" -- it may be the right answer, but I see it as, "we're not really trying to hurry to fill the role". Inside myself, I role my eyes because I need a job now and want you to hurry up and hire me if I want the job.

I’ve asked some of these questions, specifically the ones geared towards about their opinions. Man it really wakes them up with that curve ball and quickly builds rapport. Thank you so much for making this video, so far these questions have absolutely helped me in my previous interviews !

So I took your advice and I asked the question of how is the companies culture! I was so impressed by the General Managers response - it went from a very quick "I've never been asked that before, that's a great question to ask. Here how it is here...." without stumble without effort! Honestly, I came from a pretty toxic environment so it was so good to hear how there's was!

This particular interview had been moved 3 times due to him coming down with Covid and the internal recruiter not being on top of things - but went extremely well. So I had a challenge right of the start of the interview! It was a Teams interview (all good) however he was driving, so I had to shift how I had planned to respond to the usual questions (I had samples as these are technical ICT roles). I've watched quite a few of your advisory videos now and put some of it into place in this interview. I haven't checked for your phone interview tips - but they sure would've been handy yesterday :)

What's the outcome you are probably wondering? Well, we are progressing towards hire! :)
