Post Office. Covid. Windrush. Hillsborough. Grenfell. Tainted Blood. We have these inquiries but nobody in authority ever ends up in prison or even accepting responsibility, just a day or two of inconvenience then off into the sunset with their bundle of cash. Its disgusting

I don't believe her
As simple as that
And neither does the entire country

The quality of obfuscation was first class, as was her forgetfulness. Neither of which are qualities of a CEO or an Anglican priest. If she doesn't end up sewing mailbags, there is something wrong with British justice.

I think the shouting protester at the end spoke for public opinion.

This is embarrassing. You can deny everything by saying "i dont recall" "i didnt consciously do that" "that wasn't my intention". Unbelievable.

Utter shameful behaviour. Just shows that she is just looking after no.1. Herself! And blaming others for decisions and actions she's taken.

One of the interviewees identified the essence of this: they don't know the difference between right and wrong.

One thing Paula Vennells will never suffer from is a guilty conscience .

I’m just perplexed as to what she did every day. She isn’t a lawyer; she isn’t a techie; she isn’t PR aware She can’t type / put onto paper what she means. The Peter principle proved!

Paula’s idea of being a CEO. It’s all Susan’s fault or I don’t recall. She’s bereft of understanding right and wrong, competent versus incompetent and scepticism versus blind faith.

Watching her, promoted way beyond her capability. She might have made a nice server in a corner sweet shop. But even then, if she accidentally sold poison to customers, somehow she’d know it wasn’t her fault, it was everyone else that failed to check the label on the tin. And justify that she kept selling it regardless.

Her PR team have very carefully coached her. Sadly, this is an inquiry hearing, not a trial. The KC is walking on egg shells, he has to be polite and not ask certain questions because of parliamentary privilege, in other words he's got a hand tied hehind his back. Vennels still has a plumb job, didn't you know ? So just a few crocodile tears and this will all go away, BUT her disdain and contempt for her victims is still there, just under the surface.
