On the final day of Paula Vennells' evidence to the Post Office Inquiry, representatives for victims of the Horizon Scandal cornered the former CEO over her knowledge and involvement in the cover-up.

Private Eye exposed the Horizon scandal over a decade ago-it WAS known about, but even if you accept Vennells lie that "She knew nothing about it" surely that BEGS the question "Then what on earth was the point of you as CEO at all if you're clueless about what goes on in the company you're hugely renumerated to be in control of?" Proof that most companies-particularly public/ex public owned ones, don't need these stuffed shirts at all.

People are in prison for hurty words and cheeky stickers. This clown stood by watching other postmasters comit suicide at the fear of prison and being branded as a theif. Knowing all along it was a fujtsu software error. Prison is the only fitting punishment and loosing that big pension as well
