During the 1960s & 70s my dad was a heavy equipment operator & deisel mechanic. He took me to work with him one day & showed me how to run & operate a Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer for the entire day when I was 9 years old.

Nice machine. I am used to operate D9T ´16 very good and easy to handle But it have very bad location for viper control At top of left side in cab Made my mad every day in the Icelandic weather. When using the ripper the rear most control for rear window is behind you The old D9L'82 have the viper control all at right side top of window That is the right location for comfort use

I have had 4 new machines 3 D9’s a D275 pos. My 5th, D9 was just delivered. The D9R was my fav. D275 backbreaker, nothing I can say good about the Kamatsu. D9T great ergonomics but not heavy enough U Blades on all on stockpiles for last 21 years. I’ll reply back after a couple weeks on this new D9. PS love what I do just need 500-550hp &56 tons of steel !
