The way he looked up and stopped, I think he realized the chains were too short and the top of the tree was going to get him ! lol

When I was about 20 years old I was having wisdom teeth removed and my Mother drove me because of the anesthesia. A lot was being cleared next to the surgeons office. When we left there was blood on the back of the bulldozer. My mom said that a man came running in saying that he needed help because a tree had fallen on his brother. He died. The bulldozer didn't have any protection over the operator. Though I only saw the blood, its one of the memories that comes back unbidden to me regularly even though it was 44 or so years ago. I feel bad for the man who saw his brother die.

When I was about 10(?, I'm 65 now ), my father bought a D2 Cat. He and a friend rebuilt the engine, and he used that to plow the driveway for years. Think he finally replaced it around 1985, but it still ran until he passed away 10 yrs ago

We had a friend get killed by a dozer with no cage. He was pushing a tree that was lodge in another tree about the time it was bent dubble it skipped over the blade and broke him in half. Be careful with that thing
