A couple of online places I go to is:

-The Recording Revolution (Awesome for learning basic philosophical concepts of recording and mixing)

-Home Studio Corner (I like the Ask Joe blogs a lot)

- Sound on Sound (thousands of free articles. My favorite is secret of the mix engineers).

- Surf Youtube for Home Recorded "EP" (I do this occasionally to see what the kids are into. Refreshing to hear sometimes over pop music I hear on the radio daily).

Thanks for sharing some of your favorite websites.
My perception on sound changed when a friend introduced me to Crystal Castles.

Great videos Dave - really enjoying them. Just getting into home rec and mixing my own stuff. Other than a variety of YouTube channels I have started working back thru various new and older award winning CDs and listening with my ever changing ears. I also started getting into EDM (growth for a rocker) and feel the same as you commented about it being wide open.

+1 on Recording Revolution. Graham does a fantastic job.

A lot of my inspiration comes from friends that listen to different genres. I take a lot of those mix and song ideas and try to somehow implement in my own style.

I got to say my go to website would have to be Tweakheadz. It really helps me out when I'm scratching my head for answers

Thanks for the video. I would suggest looking into meldaproduction . com because you can get a whole lot of plugins for less than you'd think! The other great thing about the plugins is that you can often use different algorithms for filters and you can even choose how much CPU power that each instance of each plugin will use! I wonder, what do you think of them, if you have any experience with melda plugins.

So basically you listen to some music and surf the web for audio related topics :p
I actually do the same. There is only Spotify here but I also have Soundcloud in my list. The explore feature there is really good.

If i were an american, he (w)could be my father (I can proof if someone doesn't trust1) and i guess he's born in the same decade, i havent scout that yet. But however, I really like the art of teachin audiotechs, cause its not just a "standart tutorial" -series from a guy who do it "halftime" - its a knowledge pool from a guy on top who can give u a "direction" in mixin' ur tracks. Please make the Channel work in Germany, i just can watch single vids! Ohh, what about the t-shirts? ;)

I said it before and I'll say it again, I feel like you're my uncle or something the way you take me under your wing. Shame I don't know you personally. God bless.
