Is this car a ticking time bomb or do you predict a smooth road from this point forward?

2002 Ferrari 360 Spider Gated 6 Speed Manual Transmission. Check engine lights have plagued this car. So much that I now drive with an OBD2 Scan Tool on the passenger seat at ALL TIMES. LOL wow. A true Italian supercar experience.

From a former 360 spider owner, you are better off going to a 430 like I have.... you have not mentioned belt replacement yet, and that is coming up soon, 4-5k... your gated stick shift has great appeal to many, so sell it while it has no other problems. you have suffered way too much, and you will never enjoy it when you fear another calamity is about to hit you... 430 are better, more powerful and have kept most of the 360 great looks.

the best car to replace the Ferrari with is hands down 2017 Viper Acr. Turns head and even has good reliability. Vipers come in manual only. somebody top this one.

100 percent keep it after all the work to get it right. Enjoy it. Build memories. And then sell it. These cars have hit the bottom of the depreciation curve and are only going up from here. Keep it serviced and well sorted and you’re Golden.

You have dealt with good business and weak business to get it sorted, refer those on the same path to both, cuz both are necessary. The flat lie of the second key must be noted, and put on blast, other things are commonly the path to happy exotic ownership, wether outright or financed. The visual status of having that car in your life is a much stronger flex than a pile of green paper, also.

Hey Rob, I hope all is well and you are finally enjoying this beautiful machine. I just watched your entire series on this situation and I have to say that I am very sorry you had to experience this entire disaster. In my experience, this is not how Ferrari does business and neither should the people representing them like the sacks of shit at the dealership that sold you this vehicle. Anyway, as a two time owner of a Ferrari myself (and looking to be a third), I think it's pretty clear how you feel about this vehicle and the obvious joy it brings you now that it's running in the manner designed, and prescribed. By looking at your garage, it's pretty clear that you understand that Ferrari isn't just a vehicle, It's a religion!
There is nothing like a Ferrari, nothing! Does it need attention? Absolutely! When I purchased my first and was leaving the dealership, I was told by the service manager that there is only one thing in life that needs more attention than a woman, and thats a Ferrari. However I think you had already made up your mind when you asked the question, what am I going to get to replace this vehicle that brings me the same excitement. The short answer: Nothing! You can go out and buy all kinds of different vehicles as long as you understand you won't be replacing this Ferrari. I understand you had a rocky start to the relationship with this vehicle but I think that you are going to end up doing what a lot of us do when we sell one of these. You are going to look back and wish you didn't get rid of it.
As you have pointed out, you are already $140, 000 into this vehicle and the question you have to ask is, are you going to get that back out of it and again watching the joy it brings you now, I don't know that you really would even if you could, but you can certainly tell me if thats not the case. Some of the comments from other viewers are solid! I can tell you right now that if I didn't have a Ferrari in the garage, and having one wasn't an option, there would be a Porsche no questions asked! Incredible engineering, history and product to say the very least!

Is it a Ferrari? No, and thats because nothing else is. There's Ferrari, and then there's everybody else.

I have owned my 2004 360 gated 6 speed for 6 years. I love it. Now yours is sorted out why would you sell it? The price to play just starts with the purchase price. I have had Ferraris for 30 years. To me Ferrari's are like a high maintenance beautiful women. Yes they are a pain in the ass. But when you go to bed with them they always give you a smile. All the Best!

I would let this old horse you are spending more time wrenching on the car then driving/enjoying it somethings off. I'm with everyone else who believes the GT3(my dream car) was hands down a better option.
