one thing i've realized as a mechanic it's not actually that bad to own & fix ferrari's. you see owners channels say "i got my ferrari serviced cost 8 grand for timing belts & spark plugs...", first thought is big money to fix them.. then you find out spark plugs are still only 15-20 bucks each, timing belts are a few hundred just a bit more than any other car etc. If those big bills are mostly from high rate labour, than doing it yourself makes them feasible to pay the high purchase price to get one.

This was brilliant. Owned mine now for 5 years. Still brings a smile to the face every time you go for a drive.

The absolute best 360 video on YouTube.

One good check on the F1 system is that when you open the door the pump should only run for a few seconds. If it runs for a long time it means the pressure accumulator isn't holding pressure; the pump should be just doing a quick top-up. On the dry sump system, it's not just temperature that changes the level on the stick. When the engine stops, oil drains out of the tank into the bottom of the engine. When you start it and run it up the pumps suck the oil back out of the pan and into the tank. So checking it when the engine hot is more about it having run for long enough to let the pump do its work.

What an article for someone thinking of buying a 360. Looked at a vid earlier that scared the life out of me. This one has calmed me and put me back on track to maybe treat myself when my retirement comes in a couple of years. Thanks guys. 🙏🏼

(Edit) “calmed because Barkaways and indeed Ian, are 10 minutes from my house, I must add.

Excellent video, Ian B is very watchable unfortunately the same can’t be said of our compère who makes a painful job of appearing to be interested.

My car literally in 25k miles of ownerships needed almost nothing.. literally it was a rock solid car, aside from the belts and clutch which I did 23k miles, if I buy another, I will get a STICK

I opened my headlights easily in the oven…cleaned and resealed with clear aquarium silicon. Totally fine and never fogged up again…. 8 years ago.

Excellent review and advice. I had my 2004 360 Modena F1 for 13years now. Simply fantastic and a reliable car. Always an occasion driving the 360. I will probably keep my 360 till I can’t physically drive it!

It was a great education for me. I learned so many things about the 360 today. It’s such a beautiful car to look at and of course a brilliant car to drive. If you look after it it will look after you. Same applies to every vehicle out there. I must confess though that my favourite Ferrari is the 488 Pista. Keep up the good work guys! Cheers!

Ian B - a man who has forgotten more about Ferrari's than most will ever know. Thanks for such an in depth review

I've driven both. Still got a F355. You can't beat an early manual F355. All Ferrari's are special, but if you want the full character and connection to the car, a F355. No traction control, and that noise! Buy a good one and look after it.

Now this was a very informative video. That also explained the smoke issue on one of the cars I looked at. Thanks.
