Wow, I did not expect to see a video about Baikal, Olkhon, Buryatia and its indigenous people. I really enjoyed watching this video. I can say that many Buryats practice Buddhism and shamanism. One does not interfere. Of course, in Buddhism there are rules that say to save any life (animals, plants, insects, etc.), but shamanism allows you to make sacrifices (sheep). It can be said that we are under double protection. The first protection is the Buddhist gods, the second is the ancestors. Greetings from sunny Buryatia)

There was a philosopher and sociologist named Frit staal. When he was studying about religions, he came to Kerala when he came to know that there are some practices of shamanism in Siberia. When I spoke to the Brahmins here, they said that none of us had done it. Our grandfathers used to do it. It costs a lot of money to do this. So they said it can't be done. He told them I can finance you and you do it again. So in 1975, they performed the Soma Yaga called Adhiratram at a place called Panjal in Thrissur district.

Excellent video, but the pronunciation of "Qing China" 3:02 here is not quiet the same, the pronunciation of "Qing" is more like the "Ching", not Queen.
