One UI 4 Review: Samsung's best interface so far!

Samsung nailed it by releasing Android 12 accompanied by the company's One UI 4 Android skin to the flagship Galaxy S21 series just 40 or so days after Android was officially released as part of the AOSP (Android Open Source Project). That's quite possibly a new record for Samsung and certainly helps paint Android in a better way in comparison with iOS. It's funny when an Apple Fanboy reviews Android UI & starts comparing everything to iPhones (coz they have no experience with Android).
It's often noticed that anything which was recently introduced in iPhone, & if similar feature is already persent in Android / various Android UIs since ages, they think that Android got that from iPhone.

A lot of the bugs on 4.0 should be fixed on 4.1 which is coming with the S22's and filtering down to other phones later.

So so good. I love that they extended update support. That and interface consistency was my only gripe about samsung.

One ui 1 was new
One ui 2. Was a redefinement
One ui 3 was experimentation & maturing
One ui 4 implements the new material you design but got rushed and barely looks implemented
One ui 5 will be the redefined matured version of material you of android 13 which in itself will be even better than 12 & 12 L

Changing battery health to an emoji is the most stupid part of the update by far. It tells users almost nothing. The rest of the update seems good though.

I have a S20+ unlocked, using a usmobile sim, still haven't gotten one ui 4.
Anyone else in the U.S. with a unlocked S20 that's still waiting?

The ui design is one by one following the ios design UX, i know that the iphone designer is truly masterpiece no doubt.

The wallpaper and style color palette is buggy. Sometimes it crashes and becomes unresponsive on my Note 20 Ultra. Also they changed the Eye Comfort Shield to were the color temperature only comes on at the time you have it set for a custom time and also it no longer comes on automatically. You have to turn it on manuelly even though it's supposed to come on automatically.

Once the color temperature cuts off you can't tell a difference when you have Eye Comfort on.

It's truly amazing how far Samsung has come in terms of their android skin. I'm sure some people still remember the old tochwiz UI which was god awful. One UI is miles better compared to that

Is the OneUI 4 Google Messages design only for S21 devices and newer? I bought a used S20 and it's on Android 12 OneUI 4, but when I download the Google Messages app, it's the default one found on most Android phones instead of the OneUI style.

I just wanna know how do I add the separate appe volume setting back. It removed it and I can't turn it back on. Some times when I use split screen or mini pop up so I can play while watch something I could just mute one apps sound. How do I do that now

Got the One UI 4 update for my fe20 few days baçk but since then I think the battery back up has droped drastically. Has anyone else also faced the same issue?
