Interesting. I didn't know flax could be so different from other fibers. I had seen it when it was chopped up like you had here. Having meter long fibers would be strange for me.

Hello! I'm looking into getting an espinner and your videos have been wonderfully helpful, so first of all, thank you so much. One question I have is: I'd like to work towards spinning linen yarn, including with the long fibers, but I absolutely can't hold my arms up at or above shoulder level due to disability, so using a distaff doesn't seem like an option. What you said there about laying it on one's lap is giving me hope; do you know of channels where people talk about these techniques in more detail? Or what search terms I could use to find them (youtube search is a champion at deciding what I "actually" am searching for)
