Welcome back to Tasteful Travels. On this episode!!! We bring you all the way towards LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA!! Yes, you read that right!!!! Tasteful Travels has made their way to the west coast for a third time!! This is our FIRST time in California, so we had to check out LA. Man we are so excited to bring you this series of our quick yet AMAZING trip to Los Angeles, the city of ten million food options.

Today we try Cielito Lindo in , Los Angeles! Since 1934 this humble stand's been serving taquitos, tamales & burritos on historic Olvera Street. That's 87 years of serving this community! The thing to order is obviously taquitos, though there are also burritos and chile relleno, which come smothered in avocado sauce and optional beans and cheese.
Jay tried the taquitos with beef on a bed of beans and cheese! Olvera Street is known for its beautiful Mexican architecture and its abundance of lovely shops. It really feels like you stepped into a whole other world aside from being in Los Angeles. There are several other places to eat from but this place was recommended by you guys so thank yall so much!!!!

Sit back and enjoy the ride!!

Thank you so much for your video and patronage. My great grandmother Aurora Figueroa Guerrero came from Zacatecas to start this Taquito Business.

Hes not lieing, those taquitos and beans are so good! But the star of that meal is their salsa verde, its so good you'll want to buy extra salsa, ; which you can..enjoy🥰

I’m on the Amtrak surfliner coming from Santa Barbara County. My roots are in LA
I am going to stop by to eat lunch right now when I get to union station 🚉
My grandma used to eat here every day after school. She went to high school down the street. 1959 I want to say?? Any way. Lots of generations enjoy this place .

I used to go to CL for lunch often around '93-'94. I was writing a novel at the time which dealt with some old L.A. history and I loved the ambiance. I was writing copy for a little agency nearby and loved getting out of the office.

I love flautas and those look delicious, did I mention before my step-dad is Mexican. We have the privilege to eat homemade Mexican food every time I visit my moms. ( she literally live a block away lol)

I live in Azusa and as a teenager me and my friends would get on the gold line right by APU and take it down to the train station and walk across the street to get those taqitos, worth the trip👌

I'm Mexican and I love me some taquitos. I grew up going to Olvera Street, otherwise known to latinos as La Plazita Olvera. One day I finally tried Cielito Lindo's taquitos, I'm sorry but that sauce had NO flavor, it was watered down. The sauce was spilling all over that's how watery it was. :( They can't say its guacamole sauce, nope. Not impressed. I always go to the restaurant two doors down although they sell pretty much the same things. Their food is a bit better. Never again will I try those. I don't understand the long lines for this food...
