I have this and so does my mom! My mom is totally blind and after many hours of uncomfortable tests, they think I won’t go blind. My mom went blind due to having two types of eye diseases, RP and Coates. Lovely video!

It runs rampant in my family. Almost all of my great granfather's generation had it and about 75% of my mother's generation, including her. Luckily it seems to have almost died out in my generation with only 1 of my siblings having a very mild form and about 3 or 4 of my almost 40 first cousins having it.

I have RP my vision isnt this bad but little by little im starting to see less. Mainly from my left eye.

My grandmother had this and was legally blind when she died. Some of my family members have undergone genetic testing to see if they'd develop it and fortunately, none of them that have undergone testing have it. I haven't been tested so it's something that's always in the back of my mind. I watched my Granny lose her vision and it scares me to death, especially now since I'm starting to develop issues with my eyesight now that I'm in my 30s (I'm 32).

There's no cure for this, right? Or even treatment?

How come I’ve never seen an eye doctor wearing contacts? All of them wear glasses. I have been looking into it, I used to wear contacts all the time and the prices for them now are crazy ($100.00 per box and I have to have a different box per eye because my prescription is so different- that’s $200.00 before tax and 8pair come in a box, I’m supposed to throw them away every night 🤦🏻‍♀️ that adds up to $200.00 a week just for contacts! )

Can you explain to me since my eye doctor only said don't worry only worry if you see a storm before your eyes going down.

When I look I see black dots all over and something shaped like a worm, it is there 24/7 and doesn't go away and when it is brighter outside, I can see them clearer. Do you know how this is called and what it is?

I would really appreciate an answer, also because my vision it's gotten worse and worse since i have them

And my 4 year old, I took him also to the doctor but he said also don't to worry if it's not going to swell or it doesn't get worse.

He has now since a month, a month and a half, right around his eye a little bit of red and on his upper eyelashes tiny yellowish dots and really a little bit of swelling. Like I said, I took him to the doctor and he said to come back if it gets worse, it doesn't do that but also, it doesn't go away
