Speakers’ biodata

Muslim Imran, a Palestinian scholar and activist, is the director of the Asia Middle East Center for Research and Dialogue (AMEC). Muslim contributes to advancing the Palestinian cause. He has expertise in foreign policy, and is completing a PhD in strategic and international studies at the University of Malaya.

Gooi Hsiao Leung is the Penang state assembly member for Bukit Tengah. In May 2024 he submitted a motion, unanimously passed by the state assembly, supporting the ICJ’s order for Israel to cease its attacks on Rafah and strongly condemning Israel’s actions.

Very gd sharing by YB Gooi n Mr Muslim Imran. It's unfortunate that the human rights aspect of the Palestinian genocide is looked upon by most Malaysians as a religious issue. My Christian friends are evangelicals who are pro zionists. Thus some kept mum and some told me not to dwell on negative stuff. More has to be done by NGOs to address this malaise
