Honestly, it reminds me a bit of how Yoda and Obi Wan told Luke everything about Vader, but hardly gave him any info about Palpatine.

I think the real reason why Obi-Wan couldn't even tell Luke was because he went through so much unimaginable crap in terms of having PTSD Yes he did mention the empire and he also mentioned the name Anakin Skywalker but he didn't mention all the things that were transpired if you really paid attention to the movies, you would understand that someone that speaks less about the past is telling the truth. There would be no reason to lie as far as Obi-Wan is concerned still a badass Jedi the same with Anakin the same with Luke, three of the badass Jedis of all of Star wars
