In Germany we grew up to love Greek food. Making Gyros at home, close to impossible, even if one can buy some spice mixes. But here we are with the perfect preparation.
This has to be the coolest and most ingenious trick to create the perfect Gyros at home, including that fantastic marinade making it so orginal, without any spice-mix but Greek home-cooking. Again, Akis, you are a wonderful and inspiring chef. And my Gyros -loving/devouring wife is eternally grateful.

Just a little tip of how I cook gyros and kebabs. Roll the marinated meat into a giant sausage inside cling film and aluminium foil and freeze it. Cut the meat from frozen and fry until cooked. I don't know why, but I find it gives the meat the same texture as streetfood style gyros.
