How to avoid unexpected charges on your TNG RFID | Touch n Go myths BUSTED | DWIBAHASA

We're seeing a bunch of rumours, myths and confusion around Touch N Go and RFID. If you've been led astray by any of these, worry not because on this episode of Dwibahasa, we'll be going on a bit of a fact-finding and myth busting adventure to find out what is real and what isn't when it comes to TNG.

My experience with PayDirect not working is when the TNG terminal is wonky and it deducts my card balance instead of my eWallet. Most likely because the TNG terminal having issue connecting to the eWallet server. (Happen to me at NPE)

I do hope they will improve the RFID+PayDirect system so that you can enter and exit using different method (RFID + PayDirect) since both are linked to the same ewallet.

Ini sebahagian e-mel saya kepada MEX beberapa bulan lepas. Berdasarkan penyelidikan saya, masalah baki kurang bergantung kepada konsesi tol dan juga sistem mereka. Apabila kita tambah nilai TnG ewallet, baki terkini diterima oleh sistem tol yang kemudiannya dihantar ke setiap server di plaza tol dan/atau di lorong tol. Saya diberitahu tol MEX mengambil masa antara 45 minit hingga 1 jam sebelum baki akan dikemaskini di plaza tol (setakat Mei 2022). Saya tak pasti sama ada sekarang MEX telah percepatkan kemaskini baki.

Apabila sampai di lorong, saya diberitahu oleh staf pondok tol bahawa MEX mengambil masa dalam 45 minit hingga 1 jam sebelum boleh digunakan di plaza tol MEX..."

I think Reload delaying factor are determine by Internet connection aka Mobile Data also Network signal strength !! Reload at home or in city for sure fast account will accumulate but Try reloading in Plus highway to Ipoh in between then !!!! P/S TnG and Plusmiles they both merge but still using different System for users to do refund or others account history checking !! Walaaweiii !! Does it so difficult to Integrate both to become one ?? Contoh - whatever happen in RFID TnG computer Plusmiles cannot view same with Plusmiles card checking Tng RFiD screen cannot view. Dah lah nak tepon hotline diorang makan RM10 kredit satu sen tak guna Nyusah kan rakyat !!!!

Fungsi disable PayDirect bagus. Sbb pengguna ada pilihan utk deduct dpd kad atau e-wallet. Tapi fungsi disable RFID kalau kita taknak pakai on certain kerera pun bagus kalau TNG dpt implement. Means kalau kawan kita pinjam kereta kita yg ada RFID, so kita boleh disable RFID kita. Fungsi ni belum ada dlm TNG RFID kan?

Helpful to know that TNG is a very complicated company that confuses their users all the time & providing headache issues are their top priority. Can't make things simple for everyone.

Another myth that you can try: while it's true that if you enter with rfid and exit toll with tng card that you will be charged the maximum penalty, the same doesn't happen if you enter with tng card and exit with rfid, provided that the tng card and rfid are from the same account holder.

How true is TNG's claim that the RFID tag will break/damage if pealed off?
I wonder if it can be peeled off easily after applying 99% Isopropyl alcohol.
