Seeing this happen when I woke up was so infuriating. Any level of interest I once had in crypto related stuff has been entirely eroded thanks to scammers and in its place a strong resentment has formed.

The worst part about this imo is that they do the exact same thing everytime, so youtube could put in a system that detects that a channel changed its name, to something like telsa privated/deleted all the videos, then made a livestream about crypto. It can't be that hard, or make a reporting option to say "hey this channel got hacked and is promoting scams"

This also happened to the Zylenox, the current (I think?) minecraft world record holder. Thankfully I didn't get any stupid scam livestreams on my feed for checking out the video posted there.

There is several YouTubers I have see that got hacked (like years ago) by the same method and now YouTube shadow banned them and demonetized half of there videos because they asked YouTube to help them with the hack.

A friend of mine which is usually an expert at realizing what's real and what's fake fell for one of these scams. I'm never gonna become a YouTuber just because this kind of stuff scares me

This happened to a YouTuber I watched named "Mekkah" and thankfully he got his channel back but it is unacceptable that Google could allow such a terrible hack to be so easily done and not do anything about it
