8:00 It's not unlucky. It's bad QA/QC. You are not a high volume company, you don't sell ten's of thousands of units a week. It's not that hard to check and make sure everything is properly seated and connected before shipping.

For the modular cables, they should go to the customer in case they wish to upgrade, and because they belong to the customer. Every other SI give the customer those cables. Whoever at Starforge decided they should keep them probably should be given a talking to. If they try to use those cables in another PSU, especially a different model, at best, they kill the PSU, at worst, they take the entire PC with it.

Linus was incredibly fair & honestly Starforge system came out fairly unscathed. Just look to his past “Secret Shopper” series to see how bad system integrators can actually fuck up. Ngl the vid from linus was just straight up free advice for asmon and starforge from a guy who's been part of that industry for god knows how many years.

Linus is an honorable man and true to his word. Doesn't sugar coat anything or is biased, will tell you plain of simply the truth. Also never hides from the capability and realm that the product lies in.

9:07 you need it for future upgrades Mr. Sodapoppin Morris. i'd be pissed if I bought an HDD to expand my storage and couldn't find my SATA Power because they didn't give it to me even though the power supply comes with it.

Everything that comes with the parts, another cable, replacement parts, etc should be included because they belong to the customer

the thing is, the cables are a part of the PSU when you buy it. So, if we are paying for the parts (along with your building prices and other markups), we should be receiving all of them. We get to decide what we want to do with those parts. The SI should not be making that decision on our behalf. Also, there comes another question of cable compatibility. Plugging in the wrong cable in the PSU, even one that looks identical to the original cable, can sometimes cause the whole PSU to short, or even worse, cause a power surge to the actual PC components bricking them forever, which is a very costly thing to just forgive. Please include the cables, and let the customer figure out what to do with them.

Those modular cables come WITH the power supply.... Not giving them to the customer is legitimately stealing them 😂

Linus is right, power cables should go with the PC. I cant even imagine, what would you do if you wanted to install a new HDD or SSD that is not m.2? It would be a major hassle to buy a cable for your power supply

OTK & Starforge couldn't have asked for a much better outcome than for Linus Tech Tips to do a review and for it to be mostly ok with a few QC errors.

Despite the price being so high, not every pc comes pre built with a penis logo.

It's quite dangerous not to provide the cables to the customer because they aren't all the same so they can't just plug random ones in the pins are in different spots

My mom was going to buy me one for my birthday until she watched this video and found out what the logo really is .

I disagree with soda regarding the modular cables. Even if you aren’t a pc builder realize that people do add to their PCs. Not having cables would mean they run the risk of ordering non compatible cables. Unless you order from reputable brands such as cable mods using cheap cables can in fact mess up your power supply.

These guys just keep getting upset at what he’s telling them they’re doing wrong, get a notepad and take notes. This guy is obviously doing well for a reason.

Props to you. That was a really strong showing and from what I've seen you guys are taking what LTT have said on board. The dudes been around the block a few times in this industry and while he won't sugar coat anything, he's also as non-bias as it gets and doesn't want to see products and/or companies fail. He wants you to succeed because the more competition out there the better it is for customers. Best of luck for the future for StarForge(aka Penis Rocket PC's)
Linus did also recently have a very similar experience as you when their LTT Screwdriver was put through the ringer of reviews btw 😂
