Mr.Heinrich is one of the few bloggers who openly say "i dont know" when they not find evidence. imagine how valuable it is to say that instead just making claims based on assumptions or wishful thinking. i share some opinions with him, and on some i disagree. but when it comes to reports, he is extremly honest and reliable.

A general comment - I am pro-Ukrainian, but I am interested in understanding the real situation rather than the sugarcoated version. Some of the channels I used to watch either have blinders on to the problems which Ukraine faces or over the past 6 months focused almost exclusively on U.S. partisan politics.

Perhaps the worst thing about digital media is that people find a bubble of like-minded people and lose touch with reality once they find a content creator that says what they want to hear. Thank you for your candor. I may not always like what I hear, but I am always confident that you make every effort to relay what's really happening in Ukraine. Keep up the great work!

As bad as the training is, the point in The Post are probably the rare extreme. Even recently trained women's platoons that aren't being prepared for combat are firing quite a lot and disassembling and reassembly AKMs. I talk to folks going through this stuff several times a week.

These are not recon units doing tench assaults; that's experienced and fit units. I'm also not sure lots of shooting is what preficts survivorship when artillery is the big killer and if you're proximate to a 152mm shell when it lamds, it doesn't matter how well you can shoot.

The training situation is bad, but it has been bad for a long time.

I also know of men who are hiding from the draft and they're not influenced by the poor state of training, but rather the frequency of explosions that happen the closer you get to the line.

There should have been long ago NATO staffed training bases in Zakarpattya and Ivano-Frankivsk. It's not the NATO soldiers lacking the cajones; it's the politicians and their lack of both vision and cajones.

As our friend Ryan McBeth points out, the Washington Post has a remarkable dearth of staff with even basic military experience and a corresponding absence of comprehension and frequent inability to report in an informed manner on matters that involve how militaries work. They also excel at bothsidesing. My respect for their news coverage has declined sharply over recent years.

Ukraine Recruitment issue is difficult
most Ukrainians will feel they were abandoned by allies when they were needed the most so lack trust that they will be supplied & supported.
it takes time to re build that confidence & trust

Love your channel. Your analysis of the foe Israeli Hospital bombing, at the beginning of the war really impressed me. I knew the press had got it badly wrong, I think, a full day or two before the British press had to shamefacedly backtrack. It was so clear they had jumped to a conclusion on the basis of propaganda they had been fed and yet the moment I saw the pictures from AJ I knew it could not be an Israeli bomb. It looked like a small gas cylinder had exploded, or a grenade, car windscreens intact as you pointed out. Thanks for telling it how it is.

I know there are manpower problems etc... But its only May... Russia is going 1200+ a day. This will be close to another 400k this time next year (i realise it will slow on October) but even so. They cannot sustain this.
