Instead of saying ‘Gold’, I remember it by calling it the ‘Brass colored’ screw. Black and Brass both begin with ‘B’.

In demonstrating the BackStabing, you put the WHITE wire in the GOLD side --- ooops, the GOLD side is for BLACK (Hot)... ;-)

When demonstrating the wire connectors, it would be good to point out that the Guage of the wire you were demonstrating so we would know if you used the right color wire nut... was that 12 gauge wire? which calls for a Red connector.

Wrong wire in back stabbing
Has to be black

There is nothing wrong with back stabbed wiring as long as it is from a pigtail and no current is passing through the outlet to others
