The thing I'm worried about with the upcoming Doom isn't that he'll be bad because he's not comic accurate, but that he'll become the default version of Doom from then on. The same thing happened with Ultron. He was a good variant of the character, but now in most Marvel media he's become the new template for all Ultrons to deviate from. Pastra has a good video about that. Well, it was one section in a longer video about Ultron as a whole, but still

And till this day there isn't any live action adaptation that trully capture his greatness. Like in everg fantastic 4 he always ended as some generic villain overshadowed by the heroes even tough in the comic he basically the equivalen of thanos
