China's economy is on a continued downward trend, worsened by strained relations between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and major trade partners, including the United States. Additionally, stringent regulations and relentless suppression of private enterprises by the CCP have left thousands of private businesses struggling to survive, ultimately leading to widespread closures.

Realistically what business, or persons, would want to invest in a country that teaches its people to hate them. I've always been fascinated by history, and visiting China has been a bucket list goal for years but the thought of potentially being detained for anything makes it a 100% no go. Thanks to the new "espionage" laws there.

That's when your government prioritizes some islands a thousand miles away rather than helping domestic problems.

Nothing wrong with the factory, nothing wrong with the machinery.
It's just that it is in the wrong country.

These managers say equipment is high end. Is that "Chinese High End" or actually functioning equipment?

For over a decade the CCP boosted GNP gains by building unneeded, unwanted, grandiose, counterproductive, and useless roads, high speed rail lines, dams, whole cities nobody lives in, and other projects on the government dime, wasting trillions of yuan.
More money was invested in building up the military with troops who don't know how to fight, aircraft afraid of the air, untested tank models, ships that decorate the docks, no seaborne assault craft, questionable nukes, no military discipline, 1 year conscripts, and rampant corruption.
Wonder why they're so broke at every level.

Excuse me whilst I play the world's smallest violin....these are the same citizens that thought it was funny and cheered when China was taking jobs from Western workers.

How can they check your taxes from 20/30 years ago when computers and phones have only become available for everyone about 15 years ago! So how are they figuring out how much they owe unless the companies kept all their receipts and bills and payments from 20/30 years ago, it’s ridiculous 😮

"The CCP and the people have always been in adversarial relationship." That sums up Socialism perfectly.

These are things a government does when they are trying to fix the banks. All the new taxes and audits are likely going to the banks, which are all bankrupt.

So once they destroy the companies, who's going to give the government their money? Who will employ ordinary people? Will it be a temu economy?

That is called corruption, my friend.
