2022 world cup
India vs Pakistan

In an exciting and enthralling match that went down the wire

In the last over
Virat Kohli appeals for a No ball
The umpire takes his time
& a pandemonium follows

In the response that had the entire Pakistani public clamoring for Justice
in the guise of - Why didn't they take an Umpire's Review?
Why not take D.R.S.?

as if the public swell wasn't enough
it was soon supported by players
from Wasim Akram to Brad Hogg
to Waqar Younis to Shoaib Akhtar

all them raising the same question
why was there no review

well the answer is
they can't
umpires are bound by law and guidelines while taking certain decisions
today's video outlines those guidelines and explains the reasoning behind Umpires decision.

furthermore
while we may not tell weather or not it was a no ball

we will again state why cricket laws require an urgent change in umpire's law

because this is another case
where in a simple review could have made a world of difference

just like in the 2019 world cup
in the finals between England and New Zealand

as ben stokes was running down the pitch while taking a second run

the ball hits his bat and goes for a four
the thing is
according to law 19.8
the batsman had not crossed at the instant at the throw

that meant that one run had to be reduced
and more importantly Ben stokes should have been off strike

& boult who had muzzled a well set stokes for 1 in 2 balls

he would have easily destroyed batting on number 8 adil Rashid

so another world cup
another loss
and another de3mand for review
here is to hope that ICC looks into making some crucial changes before the next world cup

4:16 Per the rules, "Umpires were forced to assume facts". This line was as brilliant as your channel is!👌

There was something about this match, i have been watching cricket for more than a decade now but I have never felt so emotional while watching a cricketer perform, maybe it was a redemption of this champion of a player, his knock was the holiest knock I have ever experienced and the emotions on his face after the match moved me from my core

Thank you for showing light on how hard umpiring can be .As a pakistani it was hard to see us lose but mistakes happen and you can't blame the umpire especially at such high stakes. One thing for sure though, no one can take anything away from that kohli innings and it has made me love kohli to a new extent. He will and surely will be the greatest cricketer in the games history

Can we please get a video on this knock by Virat... I mean everyone knows and witnessed it with bare eyes but the essence and the build up, the doubts and questions on the player and the sheer patience and brilliance of the game from both sides is something which I think everyone would like to feel again ❤️... I feel your skill and story telling will make it even better 👌

I think it was Virat’s immense presence on the pitch together with his quick, astute thinking & cricket instincts & body language that influenced the umpire. Very tight call & probably in hindsight the benefit of the doubt should have gone Pakistan’s way however, kudos to Kohli for asking as was his right. I don’t think the umpires would have given the call for anyone else! The man is a natural born winner.

With that no ball or without that no ball, Kohli would have finished that game . While watching that innings it felt like he had unlocked ultra instinct, and nothing on that day could have stopped him.

The ending was lit when you said after 30years a Ytuber would be gushing on such video 😂. Im 30 today and I also decided that I will show this match to my son just the day he asks dad why do you like cricket😅

No one would cry if the opponent team had won(Pak and Bang at WC 2022). Instead of accepting their loss(fans), which was basically a great example of choking, they search for the smallest dirt available.

Bro if kohli wouldn't have asked the umpire they were not going to give it a no ball which would go in pak's favour. It was just kohli's awareness and proactive approach nothing more.

That knock from Virat invokes memories of somw of the best shows put up by the Men in Blue:
1) Hrishikesh Kanitkar hitting a boundary off Saqlain Mushtaq when we needed 3 runs off 2 balls.
2) Amey Khurasia finishing off taking Pak bowlers to the cleaners
3) Dhoni's charge against SL in 2012 final
4) Yuvi & Kaif against Zimbabwe and then Pakistan
Just naming a few that I remember watching with WIDE eyes as a kid and then shouting like crazy when we won. Those born in the 80s & 90s will know what I am talking about just like our mum & dad remember '83 and that infamous Miandad six off the last ball.

The way you narrate is seriously appreciable. I don't see any more cricket. Only very few matches and that too recently.
But watching your videos is like going nostalgic with awesome narration.
One request though, Can you look into Dinesh Karthik, i believe his story is something inspiring.

Thanks for this knowledge

Anyone wondering, why such rule it's because if every decision is reviewed it would cost TV and broadcasters money 💲
