Honest Real World Review of the Zero Breeze Mark II AC Unit | Used for Vanlife all Summer 2022

Opinions expressed are my own. I purchased this AC unit and am not affiliated with Zero Breeze in any way.

I decided to do this video review just before putting the AC unit into storage for the cooler seasons of the year. I used the Zero Breeze from May 2022 through October in my minivan build with success. I sleep out of my van at least 5 nights a week, and never ran out of power with my solar + battery bank setup (although I came close a few times!).

In short - the Zero Breeze worked exactly how I hoped it would for my use case, allowing me to comfortably sleep in my van even on hot summer nights. It is capable of working very well for that as a spot cooler on a signle person, but is not powerful enough to cool down a mini-van sized space during the day in summer heat.

The product creates some heat even with the hose connected to it. The best results would be keeping the zero breeze out of the vehicle but as close as possible so as to keep the hose length as short as possible. Another idea would be to insulate the heat side of the unit. At 2300 btu you want as little heat generation in the vehicle as possible. I have the eco flow wave 2 it blasts some cold air. But the unit gets warm from the condenser exhaust . I built a stand that mounts on my rv window still. Half of the unit is inside the hot side it outside. This is when I'm trying to get the most out of the units abilities....

Might as well get a cheap portable one that goes in the house at least they can cool down a room.. so that small space you could cool down alot faster

I think zerobreeze is more lightweight and compact about 16.5pounds, ecoflow ‎32 pounds

I have both this model and ecowave 2, and I prefer the zero breeze.

It's real ac with small power draw.

How did you build and attach the vent box that keeps you stealthy?

Could you send pics on the stealth vents that run off the rain guard

I mean eco flow wave beat this easy, but thx for the review, only benefit of this would be it draws less power, but me having the delta pro it does not really matter anyway for me, I do wonder though how long you could last with this and delta pro with full blast.

It almost looks like your exhaust and intake are too close together…. The exhaust and intake are going into your box that has such a little slit. Is the box at least divided inside? Perhaps it is only cooling down 30 degrees of that hot exhaust air….

Are you going through the inverter or is it wired dc to dc?

You lost me at “2300 btu can’t effectively cool your mini van.” Even at night it has to blow directly toward you? That’s not an air conditioner. At 2300 btu it should have the capacity to remove the moisture from the air in your tiny living space and cool the entire area effectively.

It's marketed as unit to use with tent camping and once again we see a review that was performed in a low or no humidity situation. Can this keep a tent cool, NO. Can this unit work as advertised in a high humidity area such as the Mississippi Delta or northeastern Kansas on a 100 degree week, NO.

Why is it these positive reviews are prefaced with the reviewer saying they are not connected with the company and then a they do a BS review? Even this reviewer says it doesn't work but he would buy it again, that stinks to me. I guess it's OK if you are sitting in your van in your driveway, in low humidity heat with your doors and windows open for less than 10 minute. I saw one review on the retailers website where the test was done in a small INSULTED tent in a 80 degree shop with zero humidity. The reviewer talked a lot but didn't address how this would preform in real world applications such as a cheap ass 6 person tent in humid conditions.
