is Htmx better than React ?

Not sure if I understood it correctly. It looked like the website is going to be hardly connected to the data from backend APIs (instead of using JS to adjust DOM). That means if the network was bad, the DOM operations would become very laggy. Is that going to be a potential issue of HTMX?

But htmx depends on server, so it is not at all client based application, it will be slow. Client framework was invented because we were dependent on the server for every small thing like validation, UI change etc. Whole purpose will be demolished
