I think the thing I like most about these videos is your brutal honesty to any errors you've made, to help others.

I just can't put into words how much I love this channel

It was this channel that introduced me to the Fuji (sp?) silicone forming tools many years ago. Been a subscriber ever since. Those things were like magic compared to the hit and miss finishes I used to get from my previous attempts involving masking and solvents.
Silicone work used to be something I always approached with dread as it could go either way. I still use the forming kit to this day and no longer have the dread 😂.
Keep up the good content Charlie !!

Really appreciate the warning around the height of the door to the floor! Never thought about that when we looked into bifolds! Good tip!

Very useful tips. I've used a soapy finger to smooth the first run on our shower enclosure & the next day did another run, as it has shrunk down a bit. Seems better to do several runs with a small tip on the gun if you have the time.

Charlie, i hope all your work in your home is paying off. I remember months ago you were feeling the pressure, and it was visible. Im happy to see your home is looking absolutely fantastic, i hope your family are enjoying it, and it pleases me enormously to be saying this on a silicone video, after finding your channel as a looked for ways to silicone my bathroom god knows how long ago.

Great content as always 👍

Applying silicon is one of those jobs I never look forward to so your videos provide a useful reference.
Whilst annoying I wouldn't be too hard on yourself about the bifold heights; I've been on sites where 'experienced' tradespeople have got it wrong and either the theshold has to be changed if noticed in time, or if too late a timber quadrant is fitted!

Great job. I love siliconing. For the small gaps behind the sink I keep bits of plastic packaging to cut up as a DIY smoothing tool.

I brought the tools you listed for the silicone video and its not going well!
Joking aside, fantastic videos and really helped me move my house along over the years, so many areas covered.
Thanks for all the demos and keep them coming.

Perhaps no surprise that your original silicone videos introduced me to your channel (my kitchen looks better for it!). Some good tips here and looking forward to seeing the rendering video too. 👍

I had tricky variable gaps between the bath and the wall, and between the kitchen splashback and working surface. Rather than using loads of silicone, I lined the gaps pushing in cotton wool (from the infants section in the supermarket) to act as a base for the silicone and to minimise the amount I needed. Worked fine.

Awesome work Charlie! We'll do the same after installing our new French doors. Try setting a countdown timer on your phone, so you know when 5mins is up, feels bit like an episode of Crystal Maze but with less people shouting useless advice 🤣 Have you tried the tool on exterior joints around windows and doors? I'm worried gritty surfaces might damage it, and they're not very cheap! I'll be rendering the reveals, which is great for hiding a primary seal behind the render provided it doesn't compromise the strength, allowing you to put a smaller secondary bead after to prevent frost damage - however a thick bead of masonry paint can be flexible enough to achieve this, and looks neater 😉
