How to Mod Your Nintendo Switch 18.1 (BEGINNER FRIENDLY)

In this video I show you how you can easily mod/jailbreak/homebrew your Nintendo Switch on the latest firmware 18.1.
I tried to make this tutorial as SUPER BEGINNER FRIENDLY AS POSSIBLE.
Which is why it's much longer than my usual videos.

FAQ: [Read this before asking a question]

Q: I can't find my serial prefix on ismyswitchpatched.com [ismyswitchpatched.com]

Q: What do I need to mod my switch, equipment-wise?
A: An RCM Jig, USB-C Cable, Micro SD card, and a Micro SD card adapter/reader. Check the description for links to those.

Q: Can I get banned for modding my switch?
A: Once you mod your switch you put yourself at risk of being banned. It all depends on what type of modding you do on your switch. If you do something like pirate full games then you'll have a high chance of getting banned. Also, if you want to use your switch normally with no mods running you can just restart your switch and your mods won’t be active.

Q: I turned my switch off and now my mods are missing, do I have to repeat the whole tutorial process all over again?
A: No, If you turn your switch off your mods will be inactive. All you have to do is use tegrarcm and the rcm jig to reinject your switch. Then select your emunand/ Fuse payload and your mods will be working again. You do not need to redo the entire tutorial again. You do not need to recreate another emunand partition.

Q: Can I play online after modding my switch?
A: Yes, you can play online with mods if you mod your sysnand.

Q: How do I turn my mods off?
A: Just turn your switch completely off. To turn them back on, repeat the injection process. If you want to leave them on, just don't turn your switch completely off.

Q: Can I do this on mac?

Q: Can I do this on the switch OLED/Switch Lite?
A: As of right now, you can only mod the switch OLED/ Switch Lite with physical hardware modifications.

Q: Is there a way to view your album (pictures, screenshots, videos, etc.) with homebrew installed?
A: Yup, hold R button then choose album.

Q: What if I don't want to buy an RCM Jig?

Q: Im getting Incorrect fusee.bin what do i do?
A: If you’re having issues with the incorrect fusee.bin file the way to fix it is by manually updating your fusee.bin file by going to the atmosphere link I provided and manually downloading the fusee.bin file separately and replacing the existing one with it in your bootloader/payloads folder. If you're still having issues you may have a corrupted SD card . I would try reformatting it again.
Then you should be able to run atmosphere properly.
Restarting the entire modding process may help as well. Somewhere down the line you may have misplaced your files.

Q I keep getting "Hekate bootloader issue no main boot entries found"
A: Your Hekate_ipl.ini may have been incorrectly set up. either but saving it as a text file or just incorrectly doing it. Please go click the rentry site and copy the texts there. Make sure youre saving it under all files type and as an .ini format. If you're having difficulties I have created a download link with the mods set up and ready to go in my discords group under the downloads tab.

if anyone is copy pasting the default.txt file from the description, be careful! the servers that DONT have an * on them should actually have one on both sides, they just don’t show up in the description because youtube makes it bold text instead of showing them

If you're getting the "nyx is missing" error, skip the fat23 formatting step. Instead, insert sd card into the switch, allow the switch to format the SD card, then upload mod files, and reinsert.
