City of Kings seems to have a consensus of working great solo or with two and three players. Four player really requires players to be experienced and know how to work together. Probably doesn’t give the best first impression with four.

I really enjoyed the puzzly gameplay in Outlive. Great twist on the worker (dis)placement :)

Jon, do you think you’ll eventually do a full review of Feudum? I was turned off from it by the fiddliness of all its tiny rules but your first impressions gave me hope.

I hated Feudem. Really didn’t feel like it was worth the effort to make the mechanisms work.

I’m impressed with Manhattan 2. It’s very different and FEELS unique. I look forward to more plays.

I think Jamie from The Secret Cabal described City of Kings best by saying it is fragile. The luck of the draw on revealing tiles is very dependent on how easy / possible to win the game is. I also much prefer with 2. Feels more balanced.
