They just need to ensure the launch doesn't clash with the launch of genshin 5.0

The licence expires around the end of October. Genshin 5.0 is end of August. Genshin 4th Anni is end of September.
So the game will either drop in July or in October as late as they can for max people to play it without other distractions.
I don't think the game will drop in April bc of Star Rail 1st Anni and also bc May or June would be too soon as players have quite a few reasonable complaints.

So we have one of three scenarios for WuWa to release by. I've heard speculation that when the current CBT2 BP runs out, the game is going to release right after.

If we have this scenario, you have less time to address bugs, glitches and other problems from the data of CBT2, Kuro games is going to have to be forward moving and solve issues with live patches. However, this affords the best time frame before Natlan for WuWa to build a playerbase, use the hype as momentum and to allow for the initial cool off period after the first month to not hurt as much. Then they can slowly build and gain a loyal playerbase in the subsequent months leading up to Natlan.

Scenario two, you have something like a late April, May, early June release time frame. This affords Kuro games much more time to take care of bugs, glitches, issues and resolve things before official release. This is also going to still a pretty decent time frame for Genshin fatigue and down time, however it's going to be much closer to 5.0/Natlan and the window will be much smaller.

Scenario three, we see a late August, September, early October (before the license expires) release. This is the best for polish, and smoothing the game out for Kuro games, and affords the best quality before release. On the flip side, Natlan and 5.0 Genshin are dropping and a majority of players will be hyped and wanting to play Genshin, leaving WuWa potentially ignored and not able to capture the majority of Genshin players at the time.

Scenario one is the most rushed, but the fresh new game experience might make people overlook the lack of polish or glitches/issues because Genshin burnout. Scenario two is the best of both worlds, but has a much smaller window. Scenario three is the best polish for the game, but from a marketing perspective the worst in terms of release timing.

Releasing the game between august and october would be a very bad idea in my opinion. That's when Genshin Impact new huge region "Natlan" is coming out for the 5.0 update. If WuWa wants to bring Genshin player, they need to release it when people are bored at the end of the cycle (around may/june). They also release HSR in this range, which is what made the game that successful.

I think they might/should release it between may-~-june because of genshin. Is simply the best they could do, just like HSR did, launching the game in the first half of the year. Because inevitably, genshin WILL be their biggest rival in the market and it's pretty damn big already as it is, and during the may-june window genshin will be at it's lowest this year on the final versions of Fontaine. Meanwhile during the july-september window is precisely when they're scheduled to release Natlan, a new, and extremely hyped region, and of course in the following months of it's realese (september-november) are going to be the highest in interest for the new region. Basically releasing it during that time would be highly risky for both Genshin and WUWA because of how much it would divide the attention of the general public, it would be particularly bad for WUWA since it's a new game that not many people are familiar with yet, while Genshin is not only well known, but also the biggest at it's own market at the moment, so a big parcel of the public thats already familiar with Genshin will naturally give it more attention than to WUWA on it's first crucial moments. I really hope, for their own good that they realese it sooner rather than later, I really want this game to do well and succeed. Thanks for the great video, take care.

*June > august* is their safest bet. Later than that they would missed to golden opportunity to pick the burned out Genshin player due to filler patches.

*September to january* is a Nuh uh that's where genshin 5.0 - 5.3 would be launched.

Kuro seems to be very dedicated to their fans so maybe they might spend more effort into addressing issues. Furthermore, hsr and gi have much more money backed behind them, so they could prob get things done faster

Did you really have to add Firefly death scene in the b roll? Couldn't you show something else 😭

I believe they aren't gonna wait until August, the game in this CB2 was pretty good, the changes most people where saying for this second beta, aren't some big changes that would take time, the devs already changed a lot of things from CB1 to CB2 and the game is almost perfect. A lot of the changes can be done quickly(with this I mean they could do something similar to HSR, and release it 2-3 months from now), also there bug correction for minimal things could be done after an official release tbh(similar to the bug corrections and things that Genshin, HSR and other games do)

I think WuWa is going to be released in late May, early June. It would be the most optimal time to release so HSR and Genshin players who are looking for a game to play when those games are in the low content streak( More Genshin than HSR tbh, HSR gives us the players a lot to do each patch, but I know a lot of people like myself who are waiting eagerly to play WuWa bc of the characters and hoping the story is as good or even better than HSR) In April we have the HSR 1st Anniversary which is gonna be huge, and in August, September, Genshin will be having the 5.0 version with the new region, plus the anniversary late September, so releasing WuWa in between those months would be best, also in June there's the summer vacations in some countries so people would have more time to play.

I feel that ZZZ and genshin version 5.0 will be adjusted by mihoyo in such a way as to suppress Wuthering waves. This might actually be their plan.

The majority of people are rumoring that it releases in October. And to me, that sounds like a very reasonable release date. I feel like August would be too soon, July the same thing. Because after their 2nd CBT they obviously need time to polish things up besides the translations missing and other things aside. I'm not even sure if they'll have time to do a 3rd CBT to show the semi-polished/semi-finished game from now... So let's hope they won't do another test (even though, that would be a good idea) and that it does release in AT LEAST October, otherwise we'll just have to wait another few months if not a year... (Which I really hope not, I applied for testing but also didn't get in ;-;)

A month too late but I mean, I just gotta say it. Even a blind chicken can find a corn every now and then.

i dont think they will go into a third beta bcuz the game is currently on paid beta access in china which usually means that the game is on its last beta (I also have heard rumors about it releasing in 2-3 monthes).

i would say maybe june july or august the best month for WW to release before Natlan arrives

there's another factor to keep in mind which is the release of natlan the new region in genshin impact which is going to bring back lots of players and will boost genshins popularity and sales, i definitely see them release wuthering waves a lot earlier than august which is when genshin's 5.0 gonna be out

While I want them to take their time I think smartest time would
be mid July. It’s during the summer and is right before Genshin 5.0 patch is out, so they could kind of steal the show.

best time to release wuwa would be a few patches before Natlan. that time for Genshin is always DEAD. banner sales are ass, and there is only filler patches with players been burn out as hell. this has been the case all the time for genshin before a major region. the main reason behind HSR success was it's smart release date from hoyoverse. by the time Fontaine started reaching it's climax and furina came out, HSR already made a billion dollars and already had a solid fanbase. sure some players will not stick with wuwa and come back to genshin, but if you can get just a small part of the 60 million genshin players to stay with you and be loyal, then you are still making A LOT of money.
