Criticism comes from all sides. In addition to the concerns of citizens/residents, there are also voices of dissent from environmentalists, railroad experts and safety specialists. Despite the huge area that will be newly built, the capacity of trains will not increase compared to the original, but will be reduced according to some calculations. Many traffic planners agree that a less invasive project would have offered better solutions with less effort.
The fire protection and evacuation concept is a bad joke and in no way up to date. The escape routes are too small. The platforms are slanted so that luggage, baby carriages or similar items can slip onto the tracks. If a single fire alarm goes off, the fire department should not be automatically alerted to prevent a major alarm for small fires. In the event of a major fire, the fire brigade itself should raise the alarm level to request additional emergency services. This costs unnecessary time. Another problem is the groundwater level. It is to be expected that groundwater will penetrate the tunnels and flood them.
