If an actor loves his character, the audience loves them back

Zeff: "It needs a little oregano."

Sanji: *"OREGANO IS FOR SAVAGES!"*

The fact that Taz Skylar did all of his fight scenes with next to no martial arts experience is beyond impressive.

The fact that Taz learned how to fight and cook for his role as Sanji.

Taz Skylar is awesome as Sanji. In the live action version, he’s like a suave gentleman that understands women. He’s not as perverted as his anime counterpart. I love the entire cast of the live action One Piece.🤓👊🏾🤍

Sanji really knows women. Even for a short time, he knows that there was something quite off with Nami. Unlike zorro who takes the whole situation as black and white😂

I love Taz Skylar’s Sanji so much. He brings out the warmth and kindness of a character whose passion is cooking — and cooking *for* people. You can see how pleased he is when he can feed people and give them a great experience with his food. It makes him so instantly endearing. I hope they keep leaning into this interpretation of Sanji, because I absolutely love it!

One Piece live action: *successful because Oda was directly involved in the production*

Toriyama: "AND THEY CALL ME A MADMAN!" *angry at how Hollywood snubbed him when he tried to offer them his help to produce Dragon Ball live action*

I Like this version of Sanji! He is not like the full on simp/pervert like in the manga or anime instead he still has a bit of simpness but with a gentleman-like gesture who also knows his way around women and I love it!

My husband: "Oh yeah, Luffy and his crew doesn't kill anyone!"
Uh....Zoro may disagree...

3:07 Live action Zoro not liking the concept of calling out attacks make sense.

Because he cannot speak or shout while having a sword on his mouth and it's hard to breathe through it.

Sanji speaking Chef while beating the shit out of a fish man will never not be funny

Taz had the least time to shine in season 1 because of his late introduction but man I can't wait to see more of him in season 2!

How he managed to keep up with Zoro whilst wearing a full suit, carrying a bag and being unarmed is a mystery

The best part was when he kicked that fish guy's butt to defend Nami's honor, only for her to later ignore him to hug the two other guys.

I have been obsessively watching clips from the OPLA but specifically Taz and his performance as Sanji! I fell in love with him immediately when I saw him and I'm saddened to hear that out of all the cast, he seems to be getting the most hate for his portrayal of Sanji.
Everytime I see a video of him it's always about how dedicated he was into being able to do things the way Sanji does, from training to do his own stunts to learning how to cook.
The amazing dedication he put into making sure that he portrays our loveable gentleman cook as accurate as possible... I can't even put into words the appreciation. I hope he gets more credit because he turned a perverted silly character (no hate to original Sanji) to an absolute suave gentleman and it was such a breath of fresh air but somehow still feeling like Sanji.

The whole cast has been wonderful and have done such an amazing job capturing the essence of their characters, the show and the dynamic of the straw hat crew and I am looking forward to watching more seasons! ♥

(OPLA actually rekindled my journey to restart OP again from the beginning as I stopped somewhere in Thriller Bark! Wish me luck catching up!)
