To all the people bemoaning the use of taxpayers' money on a world class television presentation set at a European event, it's presentations like this that gave the BBC its reputation as THE world broadcaster. In Ireland (I know, we're tiny) we pay the same licence fee AND we have advertising on our state broadcasting channels. If you continue to attack the BBC you'll end up with tv like in the States, paying for sh*te programmes and services like Netflix etc AND you'll have ads too, because that's the way they're going....Stop Destroying your public broadcaster. Just make it more efficient. Be proud. 😊
