The man behind such hits as "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You.)" recorded by Enrique Iglesias and "Wild Ones," recorded by Flo Rida & Sia Furler - Songwriter Jacob Luttrell sits down with Dave and Herb to talk shop in the 107th episode of Pensado's Place!

Stump The VK Guy Question:

"A lot of my friends work on laptops, if they only have the internal drive on the hard drive, should they feel comfortable working off it or do they need to spring for an external drive?"

Darrin Fendley's Answer:

While it's always preferable and suggested to use an external drive the most important thing is to just make music! If you have to use and internal drive make sure it's a 7200 RPM drive. Partitioning with a dedicated audio section of the drive can help. If for a time you have to use your internal drive be sure to back up often and save up for the external you've always wanted.

When I get "mixer's block" I deal with it by watching Pensado's Place! :)
Thanks for another great show.
With out fail, every new episode seems to have at least one element that is relevant to me right now on what ever project I'm working on at the time.
Thank you!!

I came here via Warren Huart via Scott Devine. Great to hear insights like this.

Dave, the word is Synethesia(?) Your senses are literally cross-wired; seeing colors, hearing sights, even the ability to smell a name, written on paper!

RDIO? I haven't tried it but it is in Canada. I used to use grooveshark until I became aware of how sketchy they are...beatport works up here though and I mostly do electronic stuff....so I can't think of anymore...

If you're a musician you maybe can afford those kind of prejudices, if you want to work in the music industry get used to the idea of having to engineer music you don't like, people don't hire you based on your personal preferences.
