Nice design.
Not too complicated and easy to set & remove.
I really like those indexing cleats you put on the bottom to fit in your existing table slots.
That stop which fits over both fences is cool too.Smart.
I made one of those too complicated ones and regret it.
The next one is going to be more like yours John.

Looks good Duane. I agree about not worrying about the fence being square to the table.
For the fence, I prefer the way I made it to clamp to the top, since this is a complete assembly that needs no clamps or bolts that can be misplaced. I find that the ready something is when I want to use it, the less frustrated I become.

I had a complicated clamping gadget that went into the t-slot on my first table that I rarely used. Most of the time, I was using a regular bar clamp to hold stuff. That's what I'll be using for this as well.

Thanks! I try to come up with easier and less expensive ways of doing things, usually after doing it the hard way a few times. I think this table has everything I need.

Obviously had to modify it to fit my drill press, but your design for the fence and attachment system to the cast iron table are rock solid. I love how simple and functional the design is. John, great drill press table top for wood working, like the revomable center idea. I think on mine, I am goingin to make it an insert with no finger holes, since you can use a scredrive from the bottom side to knock out the plug insert. That way you have no hole on top! Great deisgn solution! Just another thought, and again thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas.

Hey, I really like your design. That looks much more reasonable than the designs with 2-3 T slots. Easier to make, cheaper, and still with almost all the functionality as the ones with T slots. Great work.
