Two things if you use the rubber spatual it needs to be wet or soapy so they won't pop right away. And if you use the dish soap and put a few drops of glycerin in the water the bubbles will last longer. when I blow bubbles with the kiddos, I use bubble soap, Ajax dish soap and glycerin and the bubbles last longer and get huge. My favorite was doing it with a kiddie pool and a hula hoop, they got enormous. I can't wait to try this.

I love this and can't wait to try it. I knew I kept that straw for a reason! 😅

Hello Catherine, such a fun video to watch! I tried with Dawn liquid, and experimented with Daler Rowney acrylic inks. That way no mixing acrylics with water and no brushes. I just barely touched the dropper on the bubbles and got some cool effects. Definitely hit or miss though to not use too much ink, but so fun!

I have done colored bubbles your first way by coloring the liquid but your second way is a game changer. You got the most intense colors without being watered down and then using more than one color, well, I'm blown away! I made a pun! Anyways, thank you for this. I get the kids to do the blowing and I do the tinting and organizations of my papers. Excited to try out the new way.

Thanks, this is a great way to have a bit more control over the placement of the pattern .Glycerine makes dish soap bubbles stronger in my experience with 5 kids and years of bubble liquid making😊 😊😊

I saw the first way you did the bubbles but never got around to it. So glad I waited for this experiment! this is a game-changer😊 more concentrated and you use less paint

Great video -- that bubble mix is amazing. I like to control things, it's my nature and this approach does give you more control with the colours.

I'm not surprised alcohol ink didn't work. Alcohol is a solvent and would affect the surface tension of the bubbles.

Did you try a pipette or a very fine dropper?

Thank you Catherine this is awesome! I have to assume this won't work with tissue paper or transparent papers?

Brava! I was skeptical, at first, when you were applying the plain bubbles, then the paint, but seeing is believing- your examples turned out beautifully!😊 Thank you! Would an eye dropper, as opposed to a brush, work?

Using the kids bubbles, are you adding water? I think I'm seeing liquid in the cup but Im not sure. Thank you!

Great papers. I'm just wondering if you found the kiddie bubbles sticky, I've seen a few people say their papers were sticky after! just wondered if you experienced that at all.

I like thinner paper for use in collage. What do you use to glue watercolor paper in collage? Matt gel?

Could you please repeat the ratios of paint to water to soap for making your solutions?

One question, do you seal or use a fixative on these before using in a collage?

Do you think an eye dropper would work to get a little more pigment on the paper?

Could you use a pipette to drop the color?
