This isn't a rocket-science but a child's play! Amazing, such a simple technique- my very first with it and I already love it!!!

Please BEWARE!!! I honestly forgot to say at the end of the video that due to the residue left by bubbles (soap), my black fine liners (Uni Pin) went to bin! Impossible to use them again/ So please think about your pen when doodling on bubbles!

Blow the bubbles and tilt the bowl slightly. The bubbles will waterfall out of the bowel and onto your surface. I’ve done this painting pottery. A lovely effect.

To make water proof bubble paper, water down acrylics and dish soap and apply colored bubbles to dry paper.

I am a retired art teacher. This outcome has been one of my favorites for years to print bubbles with my kindergarten classes!
We used dish soap and tempura paint in bowls and blew the bubbles with straws…then laid the paper directly on to the bubbles in the bowl. Perfect prints and can layer the colors❣️I love your video!

Isn't it amazing how we all see art so differently? I was blown away as I watched you bring a stingray to life, out of a beautiful bubbly background! And I loved the background you threw away, I would have added some more color to it somehow, it was so pretty. I think the way you made a tree out of the last picture is so creative! Next time you play with bubbles you'll have even more fun! 😊

I love what you created after the bubbles dried. I really think that you are too hard on yourself as all artists are, because I think that they were perfectly done!

You said “there is no point in watching me drawing”, but it is in the drawing that the magic happens! I couldn’t see anything in the bubbles themselves but watching you draw and using your imagination was fascinating. Adding the extra bubbles and lines added a beautiful delicacy. Thanks for sharing😊

I an Early years teacher and we do this in nursery. It is called bubble painting. We use ordinary poster paint with washing up liquid in it and give the kids straws to blow bubbles. And then you just placed a piece of paper directly on top of the bubbles and then lift it off to dry.

I love the instruction, but the highlight of the video is your laughter!! Your laugh is absolutely adorable and contagious! ️

What a cool effect!!! Add glycerin to your bubble soap, that bowl about 8 drops or aa quick squirt. It makes the bubble tough so they hold up. Never hear about baking soda and please don't add corn syrup. Bugs will eat your paper.

I tried it, and it worked 😅. I found if I kept blowing the bubbles (in a cup) they would automatically spill over onto the watercolour paper and then I could just add the paint as I wished. I’ll definitely be doing this again. Thank you 😊

I think the one with weed stamp is the most beautiful. Try some
other very delicate florals, add some Gold or Silver ink or paint to the, they make beautiful abstracts. Never through out your "mistakes", keep them, look at them by turning them around, or adding abstract marks in Gold or Silver, if you still don't like them, punch out shapes or cut out shapes and on the back write an Art Prompt. That's a color pallet to try at another time, just write the colors on the back, or make marks that you like such as squares, circles, dots etc. to use in an abstract or one of your paintings.
Hope this helps and encourages you to never throw away your " mistakes" you could also cut or tear them up for collage.
Happy painting!😊🎨

Loved this and loved the ones you doodled and stamped on. To get the larger bubbles, put your solution in a deeper cup, blow and allow your bubbles to drop to the paper without scooping them. You can also raise your straw up into the bubbles you have in the cup and blow more air into them thus making them larger. We did this at an art retreat I went to in July. So fun and pretty.

Ahh the photo of the bubbles with all the paint settled in the intersections between them is so cool. I especially love the areas where there are tiny bubbles in front, in sharp focus, & then a bigger bubble, out of focus, behind them, so that it’s just a vacancy looming in the background. Bubbles en masse create such an orderly chaos, a pseudo-fractal, & when you add the gradient of the dark paint all settling to one side it makes for quite a fascinating pattern.

What a brilliant idea! I see this as a background to Christmas cards. Using moonglow and blues. Thank you !

Sometime soon I'll have to try this. The results look really cool!!
I had seen another tutorial, where someone used the cut-off top of a plastic bottle. They pulled an old sock over the wider end (the cut edge) and secured it with an elastic band. This sock was then dipped into a coffee and dish soap mix (they used coffee to dye their paper), but of course colored paint would surely work as well. Then they carefully blew through the bottle's nozzle, and from the soaked sock would come the bubbles, which could be placed onto the paper directly from this bottle-sock-construction. Depending on how much dish soap was used and how fast/strong they blew into the bottle, the bubbles were larger or smaller. That might be a useful technique especially if you use a larger piece of paper and don't want to scoop the bubbles, but be able to create them right on the paper. I haven't tried it yet, but seeing this video reminded me of bubbles and paint. I think, with either technique, the results are beautiful and definitely look like lots of fun making! 🤩

I put bubble on a watercolor fish to give textures of scales and also i put bubble on the hummingbird to give texture to the ruby throat. Try it.

I love this technique, thanks for sharing. I’ve done a similar effect with alcohol inks and made some pretty coasters that I also drew to expand the creativity.
