2004 Dracula is stronger but 1994 Dracula is the best version of the character Gary Oldman is a god of acting

Garry Oldman did the best portrayal of Dracula hands down

There's no comparison. Bram Stokers Dracula is superior. It's insulting to even try to do so.

From logical perspective, 92 Dracula has nothing against his 04 counterpart.

92 Dracula (Let's call him Vlad) is strong enough to rip men limb from limb and bend iron. He's no more durable than a average human, and has no inherent healing factor. All regenerating he does requires him to drink blood. So a blood based healing factor, in other words. He's also no faster than peak human.

His esoteric abilities include: Hypnotism, can use this when making eye to eye contact. It can mentally enthrall people like Renfield turning them into loyal slaves. However, as seen by Abraham, the strong willed are immune to it. Or if your holding a cross, that works too.

Shadow manipulation: he can detach his own shadow. His shadow appears somewhat sentient, and is capable of physically interacting with objects/creatures via their shadow. It is intangible and appears highly resistant to bright lights, but sunlight will banish the shadow. The shadow also appears able to detach itself from Vlad and function independently from him.

Weather manipulation: Vlad summon powerful winds, dark clouds, rain, fog, and lightning. He does not appear capable of controlling the finer details of the storm I.E he cannot summon thunderbolts to smite people, or winds to blow them away.

Animal control: Vlad can control wolves, bats, rats, and likely other animals. They will do anything he orders of them as long as they understand what he tells them I.E they cannot build a house, but can maim someone. This ability to control the animal is limited as the presence of fire will cause the animals to return to their normal state, and they will only obey Vlad if they hear him.

Wall crawling: Vlad can clime walls and ceilings like Spiderman.

Vampiric immortality: Vlad ages far faster than a human, despite being biologically dead, however feeding on blood deages him. It also heals him. This gives him pseudo-immortality.

Vampire Siring: Vlad can turn others into Vampires by feeding his blood to them. He can telepathically control and communicate with his Vampire progeny.

Undeath: Vlad is biologically dead, and as such is immune to disease, poison, toxins, venoms, and cancer. He also does not physically tire and needs no rest or sleep. His undeath also means Vlad doesn't need air to survive.

Shapeshifting: Vlad can assume his original human form, the form of an elderly man if he goes too long without blood (mind you in this state he is extremely weakened and loses some of his powers like weather manipulation and shapeshifting.) Vlad can also assume the form of a black wolf, a swarm of rats, and the shape of a bat. Alternatively, he can transform into a Werewolf-like creature gaining enhanced senses and superhuman running speed in this form alongside a very deadly bite. He can also assume a Werebat-like form gaining the ability to... Do something, I don't know he only uses this form once in the whole movie and does nothing with it. Vlad's final form is that of green mist gaining air-based intangibility in this state and limited flight.

Now, unto his weaknesses: Sunlight will severely physically weaken Vlad to a roughly human level, and direct sunlight prevents him from shapeshifting. It does not cause pain nor is it lethal.

Holy symbols: the cross with catch on fire if it remains in his presence for too long, silver is painful to him, and garlic repulses him. Holy water is also deadly against him.

Water: Vlad cannot pass moving water. What happens if he attempts to is unknown. Rainwater, interestingly enough, apparently doesn't count as moving water in his world.

Heart impalement/decapitation: Vlad, if impaled in the heart, will enter into a coma until it is removed. Decapitation, however, will kill him.

That's it for Vlad. I may have missed a few details, but that's that. Now for 2004 Dracula (let's call him Dragulia). I will split Dragulia into two sections; Film Dragulia, and Game Dragulia (for those who don't know, the 2004 Van Helsing film got a game for the original x-box. Dragulia is significantly more impressive in the game than film, power wise that is.)

In regards to Dragulia's film self, he is as follows. In human form, can throw around six hundred pound machines over a dozen feat through the air like their nothing, and can rip men limb from limb. In toughness, no better than an average human.

So far both Dracula's are equal. But this is the real kicker. Dragulia can move so fast he appears to teleport from the perspective of humans.

He can even pull this off on Van Helsing, whose fast enough to contend with Werewolves, who've dodged 1890's era gunfire. That's a significant speed advantage. Dragulia also has a wolverine-eqsue healing factor that works perfectly fine with or without blood.

In terms of esoteric powers, Dragulia offers: Undeath - same as Vlad.

Vampire Siring: Dragulia can turn others into Vampires with a bite, and can control them telepathically.

Weather manipulation: Dragulia can summon storms complete with strong winds and rainfall. He can control the lightning of his storms to smite specific targets/creatures.

Wall Crawling: Dragulia can ignore gravity and walk up walls/ceilings.

Bat/Wolf/Werewolf control: Dragulia can telepathically control bats, wolves, and Werewolves.

Hell-Beast Form: Dragulia can assume the form of a Demon via a pact with Satan. Dragulia's Demon Form grants him strength, durability, and speed on par with a Werewolf plus the power to fly via bat-like wings. A Werewolf, in this world, is strong enough to rip through a steel cage like paper and destroy stone walls. They can also overpower horses and bears, as well well as lift and throw two ton machinery. Werewolves are tough enough to survive the hits of other Werewolves, can shrug off 1890's era gunfire like bugbites, and can survive thousands of volts of electricity coursing through their bodies while in their weaker human form. Werewolves are fast enough to outrun horses, and can dodge less than ten feat away.

Satanic Immortality: Dragulia's immortality is such that only a Werewolf bite can kill him. Anything else is only a flesh wound.

Dragulia, in the game displays several new powers, but only in Demon Form, starting with Pyrokinesis: Dragulia can shoot fireballs out of his hands, and summon pillars of fire to erupt from the ground.

Cyrokinesis: Dragulia can summon spikes of ice to rain from the sky, miniature blizzards, and icy fog that will freeze anything it touches.

Electrokinesis: Dragulia can spew lightning from his fingertips Emperor Palpatine style, and can wreathe his body in an aura of electricity.

Mist Form: Dragulia can assume the form of white mist.

All in all, I believe Dragulia wins with or without his added powers from the game. I just don't see him losing.

No offense but as jacked up as Van Helsing’s Dracula is, Coppola’s was calculating and passionate interpretation of the character, his Dracula was more elusive and sinister in that aspect and the closest to connect Bram Stoker’s creation with the real Vlad Dracula.

Richard Roxburgh had played a perfect Dracula in Van Helsing

I couldn't take the 2004 version seriously but I would be completely terrified of Gary oldman's version from 1992. There are only 3 actors that are the perfect Embodiment of Dracula. Gary Oldman, Christopher Lee and the actor from the black and white era of classic movies who I forgot the name of

The 2020 Dracula was perfect . Just the first episode . It was art 🖼️. I can speak the same for the last two episodes . The first one was beautiful

Both are great in their own ways; though if I had to be exact, I'd say that I enjoy Oldman as the human appearing Dracula and then Roxburgh as the monster Dracula.

2004 Dracula might win against 1992 Dracula because 1992 Dracula is something else he was pretty hard to beat.

2004 Dracula looks like a random cgi beast. That thing doesn't look like the Dracula that's been cursed and immortal. 2004 Dracula looks like he was grown in a lab 😭 but 1992 Dracula by Gary Oldman is the actual portrayal of count dracula. Majestic, mystic, vintage and everythingg
