Talking/discussion makes kids either
“ Think or fight”

It is nice to hear it from you saying “ let’s talk about this later or after dinner” it is my line to use to make my teenagers calm about discussion this days.

“Observant”
“Treat appropriate to their age”
“What kind of innervation”
“Have Family values, rules and print them”
“Respect property”
“Cooperate and obey”

Thank you so much. I always enjoy and learn something from you videos. Thanks

I had to leave work this morning to go back to school because my twins sons got into it. And then this video dropped. Thank you even before I watch.

These tips were never learned from school, my parents or even other institution. They're precious. I will put them into practice. Thank you!

1- Think not fight: buy some time for them. For example, tell them that we are discussing this later. Then, hopefully they do some thinking. You may also need some thinking.
2- Keep your own cool, don’t turn into fight mode to.
3- Be fair. It doesn’t mean to treat them all the same. Treat them all appropriately according to their age.
4- Avoid negative labels and negative comparison.
5- Try to know what happened before the fighting erupted.
6- Set rules:
1- “Respect yourself and others.”
2- Respect property”—putting things where they belong.
3- Cooperate and obey.

Thanks for the informative video.

I believe that sharing also causes fights usually as kids enjoy possessing things.

I’ve got 3 daughters ages 5, 3, 1, and #4 is on the way! I’ve got to make a poster of the 3 rules. I’m going to use pictures because they can’t read yet. Thank you for your help!

I have 5 sons, ages 11, 8, 7, 6, 4 and things can get hectic at times because they constantly bicker/argue. And I'm raising them alone. Will keep these tips in mind.

Thank you Dr. Paul!

I don’t have kids yet but I watch your videos for writing my stories and to understand how to be a good parent when I’m older. I’m just wondering would your advice be the same or different if two middle school kids are fighting?
