Hiding the sort by "best selling" option on collection page is a must now because of the large number of competitors browsing other Shopify store looking for winning products, the sort by "Best Selling" option allows customers to view products based on their popularity and while this may seem beneficial but it can also expose your top-selling items to competitors who may try to replicate or undercut your success.
So by hiding this sorting option you maintain a unique selling point and preventing Shopify competitors from easily identifying your most successful products on your collections, this allows you to maintain control over your market position and ensures that your competitors are unable to leverage your success against you.
