This Power BI hide column tutorial shows teaches how to hide a column in Power BI lists. Power BI doesn't allow you to hide columns out-of-the-box, but this neat trick allows you to easily hide a column by manipulating headers and column width. It's a magic solution to a badly needed missing feature.

Awesome. In PBI 2023 I was able to do this without having to rename the column. I just turned off the "text wrap" option for 'Values' and 'Columns Headers' and squeezed the column to the end, as you did.

thanks for sharing! In case you wanted to hide the horizontal scrollbar too, you would want to move the hidden column to the middle of the table and adjust the table width again.

Or we can switch off wrap text option under column headers and then drag the column to 0 size... It will do that too...

the best ones, are the simplest. Great workaround

Update:
This doesnt work in updated versions of Power BI. When I reduce size of the column the size of the rows expands, affecting how the table looks in general

Update to the update:

I moved the column (now first column of the table) and I aligned that specific column to the left. Now I could hide it and the rows didnt get distorted

Hi but when you hover at extremely left side on any row you will see the values that time it's not good

In my case, I couldn´t change the name of the column because I wanted to hide only values for 2023 and keep 2024, I was showing YOY% and I don´t have values for 2022, so 2023 values were too big. I turned off text wrap for column header and values. It works fine. Thanks

The issue with this is it's still the first pivot column.

Not a true hide.
