Moscow is holding its biggest naval drills since the Soviet era. They have been dubbed "Ocean 2024". The naval exercise will go on till September 16. Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the drills will take place in the Pacific & Arctic oceans, and the Mediterranean, Caspian & Baltic Seas. The drills involve over 400 ships and vessels, and over 120 aircraft. China is officially taking part in the drills, but its contribution is minimal. China will be holding its own drills later this month, and Russia will be participating. Is Putin sending a message to the West by taking part in joint drills with China?

So what better way to prove this narrative than at the world's largest sporting event (2024 Olympics).
