Let me show you how I make my family’s favorite BIRRIA POZOLE now let me tell you this pozole never disappoints specially if you don’t like pork but what to experience the traditional pozole with the flavors of birria, this recipe is one that you most definitely need to try! So I hope you enjoy it as much as we do❤️

** using New Mexico chile pods gives you the perfect spicy was no chile árbol is needed but if you don’t want it spicy simply use chile guajillo!
Ingredients: this makes 7-8 servings
4 lbs of beef meat I’m using 2 lbs of beef short ribs to give the borough a rich flavor and beef chuck tender roast, chuck pot roast will work too just removes as much fat as possible!
1 large onion
3 bay leaves
3 tbsp salt
12 New Mexico or guajillo
2 chile ancho
2 tbsp white vinegar
5 garlic cloves
1 inch cinnamon stick
5 whole cloves
1 tbsp oregano; divided
1 tsp peppercorn
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp ground ginger
60 oz precooked hominy; Juanita’s my favorite
Top with
Shredded cabbage
Chopped onion, cilantro, red radish,
Lime
serving of love 💕
